EXPORT CERTIFICATE - Airport Facilitation

Passengers departing from India carrying valuable items such as Jewellery/Electronics etc. who paln to bring them back to India are advised to avail the facility of Export Certificate from Customs Department for obtaining exemption from Customs duty on re-importation.

This certificate is mandatory under Customs Act, 1962 and the same must be submitted by the passenger on arrival to the Customs authorities for verification.

Following documents are required for obtaining export certificate:-

  1. Passport Copy
  2. Coloured Photo of valuable goods approved by Govt. Authorized Valuer
  3. Valuation Certificate issued by Govt. approved Valuer indicating description, quantity and value or any other supporting documents which indicate the value of the items such as purchase invoice.
  4. In case of High value electronic items the name of company, Model Number, Year of Manufacture is to be indicated.
